If you visit a page other than the front page of the site, we ask you to register your details. This is simply so we can keep track of who is using the site.

All you need to do is tell us who you are, what your e-mail address is, and who you work for. You can also choose to receive our weekly update e-mail (which tells you about new stuff on the site) and/or our weekly adult update e-mail (which contains details about new releases from our clients in the adult DVD/video world). You can opt-out of receiving these e-mail bulletins at any time, simply by e-mailing unsubscribe@the-associates.co.uk with 'unsubscribe your_email_address' (eg unsubscribe me@mydomain.com) in the subject of the mail.

Do I need to register each time I visit?

No -- we store a 'cookie' (a harmless tiny piece of information) on your machine which tells us that you've already registered when you visit in the future. However, if you access the site from a different machine you will be presented with the login page; simply type in your e-mail address, and you will be allowed into the site.

How do I find the title(s) I'm interested in?

You can browse the site in the following ways using the menus on the opening page:

• Search by genre - Lists feature films, special interest titles, Hong Kong cinema, etc.
• Search by date - The release schedule
• Search by format - The latest DVD releases, rental releases, etc.
• Search by label - The latest titles from each individual client.

Or go directly to the information you need by typing in the title or a key word in the search box provided.

What's the deal with the downloadable images?

Every image can be downloaded direct from the site by clicking on the thumbnail displayed. Each image has been scanned at a sufficiently high quality to meet normal publishing requirements and saved as a jpeg.

Sleeves (Rental, VHS & DVD) - CMYK, 350 dpi, size 50%.

Pictures (up to 5 images for each title) - CMYK, 350 dpi, size 150mm x 100mm

If you require a larger or different image please contact us and we will arrange to meet your requirements.

PC users please note: don't right-click on an image, as this will give you a low-resolution version. Left-click and the high-res version will be downloaded.

Are the images copyrighted?

Yes, they are. The images featured on this site can only be used to promote the release of the title to which they refer. If you use a picture for publication and do not credit the video, DVD or film release you will be in breach of copyright laws.

Certain titles are subject to further restrictions and these will be detailed on specific title pages.
